Calling Arkansas Poets: Reel Queer Film Festival and Sibling Rivalry Press Team Up to Turn This Red State RAINBOW

ree

The Reel Queer Film Festival returns to Central Arkansas on August 21, 2025! Help us celebrate the evening before the festival by kicking things off with a FREE poetry open mic & hangout night at Argenta's Crush Wine Bar sponsored by Sibling Rivalry Press -- and YOU are invited to participate!

Sign up at the door or by emailing bryan@siblingrivalrypress.com to snag YOUR five-minute slot to share your work. LGBTQ+ poets, authors, artists, and performers are welcome, as are allies! This is a safe space for art, friendship, sharing, and conversation. Plus, we'll preview the films of the Reel Queer Film Festival.

ABOUT THE REEL QUEER FILM FESTIVAL: The Reel Queer Film Festival celebrates the diversity of the LGBT community and filmmakers by presenting poignant and thought-provoking films documenting LGBT lives truthfully and with respect. The festival exhibits the power of film to transform lives and opinions of those both inside and outside the LGBT community through the universal medium of the cinema.
